Day of Caring Forsyth County – A Community in Action

On August 29, Day of Caring Forsyth County brought together more than 500 volunteers at the Forsyth Conference Center with one shared purpose: supporting families across our community.  In just two hours, volunteers packed an incredible 140,000 nutritious meals, which are now being distributed across five local food programs.

This remarkable effort demonstrated what’s possible when businesses, civic groups, students, and neighbors unite to serve others. Together, we helped ensure that more than 10,000 local residents will have reliable access to healthy food this fall.

Day of Caring Forsyth County is more than a single-day volunteer event — it is a reflection of our community’s commitment to supporting one another. By activating local businesses, civic groups, schools, and families, this initiative strengthens our shared responsibility to ensure every household has access to the healthy food they deserve. The impact lives on long after the event ends, as the meals packed continue to support families throughout the fall season.
