Fiscal Sponsorship
United Way of Forsyth County provides fiscal sponsorship to grassroots initiatives and emerging organizations that want to make a difference in our community but may not yet have nonprofit status.
By serving as the fiscal sponsor, we offer administrative support, financial management, and compliance oversight—so community leaders can focus on mission and impact.
Fiscal sponsorship allows great ideas to grow and thrive, while giving local changemakers the structure and stability they need to serve Forsyth and Dawson Counties effectively.
Our Role Includes
Managing funds and donations on behalf of the sponsored project
Providing back-office support such as bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance
Offering credibility and accountability for funders, partners, and donors
Ensuring resources are stewarded responsibly in alignment with nonprofit standards
